A funeral service for Jo Ann Augustine, 86, of Lancaster, California will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas.

Jo Ann was born on September 15, 1938, in Long Branch, Texas to Vance Albert Drew and Jessie Mae Hudman Drew and passed away on December 24, 2024, while holding her sons hand and surrounded by family and friends at her residence in Lancaster, California.

She was a lifelong and active member of First Assembly of God Church in Marshall, Texas. During her life, she was an avid youth baseball fan, cub scouts Den Mother, church song leader, bowler and the fun grandmother and great grandmother. She was a terrible swimmer. She looked at strangers as potential friends and took it upon herself to make sure everyone had fun.

She was preceded in death by parents, Vance and Jessie Drew and her husband, Richard A. Augustine.

She is survived by her children, Michael Augustine and wife, Beth, Matthew Augustine and wife, Kelly and Mitchell Augustine and wife, Ande; grandchildren, JoAnna Augustine, Jamey Augustine, Brandon Augustine, Maley Koller and Ben Augustine; great grandchild, Brody Goddard and nephew, Scott Smith and wife, Holly along with other friends and family.
