A memorial service for Joe Fitzgerald, 82, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Texas.

Joe was born on July 11, 1943, in Atlanta, Texas to Robert Corley Fitzgerald and Linnie Jewell Purdy Fitzgerald and passed away on September 21, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with his hands and being a jack of all trades. He had many "Mom and Pop" businesses including a RV Park and a flower nursery. He took great pride in being "Pepaw" to his grandchildren, who he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Linnie Fitzgerald; sisters, Doris Miller, Marjorie Fitzgerald, Betty Brashears and Maxine Baggett and brother, R.C. Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Fitzgerald; children, Robert Fitzgerald and wife, Susan and Sheila Fitzgerald and significant other, Louis; grandchildren, Brian Fitzgerald and wife, Courtney, Dustin Fitzgerald and wife, Kelsey, Colten King and wife, Breann and Brandon Fitzgerald and wife, Hayley and great grandchildren, Kinley Fitzgerald, Brecken Fitzgerald, Blakelee King, Emerson Fitzgerald, Mila Fitzgerald, Miles Fitzgerald, Jax Fitzgerald, Lillian King and Kip King along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
