Joe Earl LaGrone Funeral service for Joe E. LaGrone, 81, of Hallsville will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Edward Chapel Baptist Church in Marshall. Burial will follow in Powder Mill Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. LaGrone passed away September 8, 2012 in Longview. Joe E. LaGrone was born May 28, 1931 to Hezzie and Ellen Andrews LaGrone. He was a graduate of H.B. Pemberton High School, and had been a dragline operator for American Norit. Mr. LaGrone is survived by his wife, Billie Jean LaGrone; daughters, Danyell (Patrick) Tatum, Sandra (Earl) Day, Josephine LaGrone, Gwendolyn Croupton; sons, Douglas (Vivian) Webb, Joe Earl (Ruth) LaGrone; sisters Melinda Daniels, Mable Lincoln, Marie Allen, Gloria Easley; brother, Tommy LaGrone; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. LaGrone was preceded in death by children, Edward LaGrone and Vivian LaGrone; parents, Hezzie and Ellen LaGrone; sister, Katie Lee Matthews; and brothers, Leon LaGrone, Frank LaGrone and James Minnieweather.
