Graveside services for Joel Russell Johnson, II, 37 of Marshall will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at New Grover Cemetery in Marshall with Bro. Tom Ratcliff officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February24, 2011 at the funeral home. Joel passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 in Austin. Joel Russell Johnson was born June 30, 1973 in Marshall to Joel Russell Johnson, Sr. and Eva Ruth Slaughter. He attended Marshall Public Schools and enjoyed art and traveling. Surviving Joel are his mother, Eva Ruth Craig; father, Joel Russell Johnson, Sr. both of Marshall; brother, Jay R. Johnson of Tyler and aunt, Bebe Tibbitts of Woodlawn. He was preceded in death by his Pops, George Craig, Sr. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Glanton, Tony Glanton, Chris Lay, Tyler Pilkington, Peter McGeorge, Brad Faucett, Bud Faucett and Dennis Carroll.
