Joey was a member of First Baptist Church in Alice, Texas and was retired from Smith International. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, they were the light of his life. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed working on guns and reloading bullets. He was also very much a passionate cook and collected recipes and made some fabulous meals for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Hall and his son, Stewart Hall.

He is survived by his children, sons, Stephen Hall and wife Laurie, , Joseph Hall and wife Meridith , daughters, Deborah Rasberry and husband Bill , Karen Hall and husband Steve Sherr,and Marcia Lebeau and Husband Jeff . His grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Jessica, Hannah, Hunter, Darrell, Christina, Brittany, Cory, Caroline, Chole, Dylan and Zach, 6 great grandchildren and His faithful companion, Soco. His very good friend George Zepeda, and wife Janie.  He has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
