A memorial service for Mr. John Delbert Hearne, 66 of Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5,2014 at Pope City Baptist Church with Bro. Judd Strawbridge officiating. Mr. Hearne passed away June 28, 2014 in Jefferson. John Delbert Hearne was born November 18, 1947 in Marshall to Ray Morgan and Martha Elaine Swafford Hearne. On March 7, 1967, he married the love of his life, his eternal sweetheart, Brenda Pearson in Marshall. He served his country in the United States Army. John was a member of Pope City Baptist Church, as well as the Texas Baptist Men's Disaster Relief and Texas Baptist Men's Brick Team. He was also a member of the Marshall Masonic Lodge #22. John and his wife Brenda owned and operated Amazing Grace shop in Jefferson for many years. Surviving John are his wife, Brenda Hearne; two daughters, Shari Hearne Benson and husband Matthew and Susan Hearne Strawbridge and husband Judson; one son, John Morgan Hearne and wife Kriste Miles Hearne; ten grandchildren, Justin Miller, Jacob Miller, Josh Miller, Sam Benson, Jordan Raye Strawbridge, Tatum Lyn Strawbridge, Chloe Strawbridge, Payton Strawbridge, John Issac Hearne and William Miles Hearne; two brothers, David Hearne and wife Pat and Ricky Hearne and wife Kelli; four sisters, Helen Hollis and husband Bobbie, Anne Brown, Glenda Warbington and husband Earl and Wanda Adley and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Morgan Hearne and Martha Elaine Hearne. Honorary pallbearers will be John Morgan Hearne, Martin Whalen, Judd Strawbridge, Marvin Cawood, Ronnie Kay, Don Kay, Randy Kay, Ricky Hearne, David Hearne and the Texas Baptist Men.
