John Wallace Parish A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Mr. John Wallace Parish, 81 of Marshall. Mr. Parish passed away February 23, 2011 in Marshall. John Wallace Parish was born August 20, 1929 in Walla Walla, Washington to Dr. Benjamin Burch Parish and Lona Melton Parish. John served his country in the Korean War with the Air Force from 1950-1959. Mr. Parish retired from the U.S. Post office in Marshall in 1992. Surviving John are his son, John W. Parish, Jr. and wife Betty of Robeline; daughter, Joni Frazier and husband Johnny of Marshall; three grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Dovailina and husband Daniel of Houston, Ronald Gaines Summerlin of Longview and Justin Nicolas Summerlin of Fayetteville, Ark. and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Gage Summerlin, Mackenzie Jo-Ann Summerlin and Lauren Kate Summerlin.
