A memorial service for Stevie Wright. 59 of Jefferson will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday October 8, 2015 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the funeral home. Mr. Wright passed away October 5, 2015 in Jefferson. Stevie Wright was born July 30, 1956 in Marshall to Carlton Wright and Loretta Howard Wright. He married Katherine Parker on April 28, 1988. He was a crane operator for Joyce Crane. Stevie loved hunting, fishing and racing anything especially speedboats. He also enjoyed grilling and entertaining friends and family. Stevie was a wonderful Pepaw who loved all of his grandchildren. Surviving Stevie are his wife of 27 years, Katy Wright of Jefferson; two daughters, Stacey Boykins of Clarksville, TN and Amy Stafford and husband Bobby of Harleton; two sons, Matt Wright and wife Sarah of Harleton and Kristopher Wright of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Jayden Wright, Kianna Boykins, Drew Stafford, Alayna Stafford, John Wright and Judson Wright; one brother, Ken Wright of Marshall; special friend, Todd Williams and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Dwayne Wright and Dwight Wright.
