Graveside services for John D. Yeilding, 86 years old, of Waskom, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Yates Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Yeilding passed away May 4, 2015 in Longview. John D. Yeilding was born March 4, 1929 in Iuka, Mississippi to the union of John D. Yeilding and Amy McKee Yeilding. On February 28, 1948 he married Sarah Joyce Mills in Corinth, Mississippi. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a retired postal carrier for the US Postal Service. John was devoted to and loved his family. Surviving John are his wife of 67 years, Sarah Yeilding of Waskom; two sons, Roger Yeilding and wife Jackie of Doyline,LA and Paul Yeilding and wife Elizabeth of Huntsville, TX; daughter, Debra Yeilding of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Brandon Lee and wife Lisa, Austin Clements, Rebel Yeilding Stumpner, Dustin Yeilding, Alison Yeilding Terni and Shilo Odell; great-grandchildren, Brittany Lee, Cody Lee, Micah White, Noah White, Shaye Yeilding, Aleczandria(Rinnie) Yeilding, Patrick Henry Yeilding, Joshua Yeilding, Cody James Yeilding, Avery Amato, Mia Amato and Christian Paul Amato, Joann Peace, Joy Grainer and Linda Wright; two sisters, Rebecca Collins and Joyce Phillips both of Jackson, TN and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Jo Yelverton.
