A graveside service for Johnny B. Jones, 65, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Algoma South Cemetery in Marshall. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2024, at Downs Funeral Home.

Johnny was born on March 8, 1959, in Gary, Texas to Lawrence Ballard and Ruthie Lee Jones and passed away on April 10, 2024, in Palestine, Texas.

He served his country proudly in the US Navy. He loved to watch old westerns and was an outdoorsman. He loved everything about Harley Davidson motorcycles, had many Harley Davidson collectibles. Most of all he loved to be out riding his Harley.

He was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence Ballard and Ruthie Jones; grandparents, Walter Jones and wife, Mary and brothers, Jessie Flakes and Thomas Flakes.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Rosie Taylor, Roy Flakes, David Flakes, Rodney Flakes, Edd Flakes and Vickie, Valley Flakes, Steven Woodards and Jeanette Woodards along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
