A funeral service for Jonnie Nell Ford, 88, of Waskom, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the funeral home.

Jonnie was born on December 5, 1933, in Lemon, Mississippi to Ollie Warren and Lou Crietia Carr Warren and passed away on September 29, 2022, in Marshall, Texas.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waskom and a member of Eastern Star in Little Rock, Arkansas. She enjoyed playing the piano and sewing in her spare time.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Lou Carr; husband, Thomas H. Ford; daughter, Rita D. Ford; grandchild, Tamara York and great grandchild, Layla York.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl York (Bobby); son, Thomas W. Ford (Sheila); grandchildren, Joey York, Thomas J. Ford, Emily Ferguson, Ryan Ford, Regan Armstrong, Presley Baird, Justin Timms, Michael Fields and Billy Fields and 20 great grandchildren along with numerous other family and friends.
