A funeral service for Jose Jaimes-Ocampo, 64, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marshall. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home.

Jose was born on March 7, 1958, in Estado de Mexico to Hermenegildo Jaimes Martinez and Lorenza Rivera and passed away on March 5, 2023, in Marshall, Texas.

He practiced as an attorney in Mexico and enjoyed reading and studying the laws. He enjoyed working and music. He enjoyed nature and was an animal lover.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maria Jaimes Bahena and brother, Valentin Jaimes.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Roberto Jaimes, Bertina Suarez, Hermilo Jaimes, Jose F. Jaimes, Juana Jaimes, Inez Jaimes and Gloria Jaimes; special nephew, Ivan Jaimes along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
