Funeral Services for Joseph W. (Joe) Westmoreland III, 56, of Woodlawn will be held at10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Carlton Burris and Bro. Will Sherman officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the funeral home. Mr. Westmoreland passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 in Marshall. Joseph W. (Joe) Westmoreland III was born July 06, 1954 in Marshall to Joseph William Westmoreland, Jr. and Nancy Fyffe Westmoreland. He attended Marshall Public Schools. Mr. Westmoreland was employed with Kellogg Brown and Root for 7 years as a pipe fitter foreman and was a former member of the Harrison County Sheriff's Posse. Surviving Mr. Westmoreland are his parents, J.W., Jr and Nancy Westmoreland ; sister and brother in law, Jan and Herb Knox; five daughters, Ashley Carver and husband Kyle, of Montgomery, TX., Karrie W. Plaisance and husband Shane, of Spring, TX., Krystal W. Johnson and husband Robert, of Gainesville, TX., Kirby Lace Westmoreland, and Anna Westmoreland, both of Marshall; six grandchildren, Ciara Wright, Keilan Carver, Kallie Carver, Hopper Plaisance, Livy Plaisance, and Emily Johnson and his fiancé, Genie Moore and a host of other relatives. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Hudson, Steve Moore, Mike Couch, Wilbur Ingram, Toby Hudson, and Dewey Dossett. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Chandler, Robert (Woody) Woodall, Jamie Martin, John McKinney, James L. Wyatt, Ricky Oney, Joe Hatley, Joe E. Brumble, and Jay Nesbitt.
