Graveside services for Joy Little Harty, 72, of Marshall, Texas will be held Monday, November 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. in Algoma North Cemetery in Marshall, Texas with Bro. Dick Sawyer officiating. Joy passed away November 10, 2011 in Longview. Mrs. Harty was born November 24, 1938 in Gideon, Missouri to L.R., and I.V. Little. There she was a 1956 Graduate of Gideon High School. Later, while attending East Texas Baptist College of Marshall, Tx., she met her husband, Billy Wayne Harty. Before retiring, Mrs. Harty previously worked as secretary for Second Baptist Church of Marshall. She was most known as owner and caregiver of Harty's Daycare for over 16 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Marshall, Tx., and a member of the local Eastern Star Lodge #356. She is survived by her daughter; Keila Harty, and son; Keenan Harty, both of Marshall, TX.; sister; Gail Little Sharp, and husband Dennis Sharp, niece; Kristi Gail Sharp, of Clarkton, MO. One Aunt, Beulah Dile, of St. Louis, MO. Numerous beloved cousins, Bill Little of St. Louis, MO., Peggy Little Sneed and husband Tom Sneed of Liberty City, MO., Larry Little of St. Louis, MO., and Patsy Little Williams of Longview, TX., as well as their spouses and children.
