Services for Mrs. Joyce Starr, 82, of Marshall are pending with Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Starr passed away November 9, 2011 at her residence. Renee "Joyce" Harrison Starr Renee "Joyce" Harrison Starr passed away November 09, 2011 at her home at the age of 82. She was born February 11, 1929 in Panola County to William Edwin Harrison and Lela Clyde Breedlove Harrison. On March 7, 1945 she married Albert Allen Starr. A Godly teacher, who taught her children well, Renee was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also an excellent seamstress and quilt maker. Renee collected lamps and loved to play games with friends. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Surviving Renee are her husband of 66 years, Albert Allen Starr; children, Linda Starr Kelm and husband Melvin, Floyd Allen Starr and wife Barbara and Rickey Edwin Starr; grandchildren, Angela Kelm Warren and husband Wil, Terri Lyn Kelm Lamb and husband Mike, Amber Starr and Corey Starr; great-grandchildren, Jed and Macayla Warren, Julia, Joseph, and Jacob Lamb, Brock and Reese Wagar, and Tanner Starr; sister, Thelma Harrison Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Reney Martin Starr; brothers, Richard, Herman, Marvin, Clifton and Aaron Harrison and sisters, Lillian Warren, Onise Sanders, Ida Mae Ingram, Emma Fay Jackson, and Julia Strong. Serving as pallbearers will be Wil Warren, Jed Warren, Mike Lamb, Tommy Pettit, Corey Starr and Ronnie Hinkle. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Harrison, Tony Whitlow, Cecil Christopher, and Bobby Hodges. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Victory Baptist Church 607 E.
