Judy Williams
Clark
Jun 29, 1953 — Sep 5, 2026
Marshall
Judy Nell Williams Clark, 73, of Marshall, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on September 5, 2026. Judy was born on June 29, 1953, in Carthage, Texas, to Noble Wayne Williams and Frankie Nell Shires Williams. She married the love of her life, David Lewis Clark, on December 17, 1971, in Marshall, Texas.
Judy was an only child to Wayne and Frankie Nell, growing up in Marshall and living in her childhood home on Holmes Road for most of her life. When Judy met David at Marshall High School, she knew she had found her forever. Together they built a beautiful, loving family and shared 55 years of marriage — a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and quiet strength. Their bond stood as a testament to faith, commitment, and two hearts choosing each other every single day.
Judy loved God, she loved David, and she loved her children and grandbabies with a loyalty and tenderness that never wavered. Her family was her joy, her calling, and her greatest accomplishment. Though she carried many titles throughout her life, the one she cherished most was the one given to her by her grandchildren — "JuJu."
Judy lived with honesty, conviction, and a spirit that did not bend. If you asked her a question, you received the truth — the whole truth — whether you were ready for it or not. Her strength was matched only by her compassion, and her faith was the anchor that steadied her through every season. She gave the absolute best hugs, the kind that made everything better.
Her hands were rarely still. She found joy in cooking, crocheting, quilting, gardening, tending her plants, and canning fruits and vegetables. Early in life, Judy loved reading Harlequin Romance novels and kept a collection of hundreds of books in perfect chronological order, many of which she read multiple times. Later, she discovered the world of Harry Potter, and her reading interests shifted. She enjoyed all things Harry Potter and watched the movies and read the books repeatedly.
For more than twenty years, Judy worked as the manager of Just a Dollar, first in the Marshall Mall and later at the Kroger Shopping Center next to Gucci's Pizza. She blew up countless balloons for birthdays, celebrations, and moments big and small, always adding her own touch of kindness to every customer who walked in. Many will remember the sounds of old country and gospel music playing through the store speakers in the store. People did not just shop there; they came to see Judy. She made many dear friends, both coworkers and customers, during her time at the store. Judy had a true dedication to her work, her team, and the community it served. She poured her heart into it, just as she did with everything else in her life. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for many years and was proud to serve as a Sunday School Teacher and nursery caregiver, even keeping and teaching her own grandchildren. She later became a member of Pope City Baptist Church.
Above all hobbies, passions, and pastimes, her greatest devotion was to Christ and her family. Judy leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, faith, and fierce loyalty. Judy is survived by her husband David of Marshall. Daughter, Janet Clark Spain (Patrick) of Elysian Fields. Granddaughter: Karli Anne Spain Gill (Ross) of the Gill Community. Son: Steven Clark (Summer) of Marshall. Grandchildren: Skylar Clark (J.D. Fuhrman) of Marshall; Halee Clark of Marshall; Gavin Clark of Marshall; Jayson Clark of Marshall. Son: Adam Clark (Katherine) of Marshall. Grandchildren: Alex Claiborne (Kacie) of Longview; Liz Redding (Logan) of Longview; Alyssa Jade Clark of Marshall; Kirsten Lana Clark of Marshall. She is also survived by her brother‑in‑law, Eugene Clark (Carolyn); sisters‑in‑law, Glenda Roberts, and Sheila Clark Fox; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers‑in‑law, James Roberts and Leon Perry (Junior) Clark, Jr.; and her sister‑in‑law, Nora Hancock, along with her husband Buddy Hancock and their children, Lonnie Hancock and Lisa Hancock.
Pallbearers will be Alex Claiborne, Logan Redding, Ross Gill, J.D. Fuhrman, Jayson Clark, and Ty Moore. Honorary Pallbearer: Gavin Clark.
Judy built a beautiful life — one rooted in faith, strengthened by love, and made whole by the family she cherished. Her presence was a gift, her love a covering, and her legacy a testament to a life well‑lived and deeply loved. She was our JuJu and simply one of a kind.
