A visitation for Judy  "Gammaw" Hicks Ratcliff, 72, of Marshall, Texas will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas.

Judy was born on June 10, 1953, in Marshall, Texas to Burton D. Hicks, Sr. and Lula Belle Pope and passed away on August 8, 2025.

She was a lifelong resident of Marshall. Her hobbies included cooking and trying out new recipes and playing card and board games with family. She enjoyed playing the piano for the family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her true passion was spreading the Gospel to anyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her father, Burton D. Hicks, Sr. and her mother, Lula Belle Deason.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Ratcliff and wife, Amanda; daughter, Kim Hopkins and husband, Wes; youngest son, Jeff Ratcliff; sisters, Linda Griffith and Kathy Busby; brother, B.D. Hicks, Jr.; grandchildren, Destiny Ratcliff, Caitlyn Duckworth, Seth Ratcliff, Haley Hopkins, Braden Hopkins, Joeb Ratcliff, Makenna Nance Ratcliff and Makayla Nance Ratcliff and great grandchild, Maddyn Roberts along with numerous loved nieces, nephews, her close friend "Ms. Net" and other family and friends.
