A celebration of the life of Iris June "Junebug" Neel, 82, of Marshall will be held Tuesday, March 12. Visitation will start at 9:30 followed by the service at 11:00 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home, Dr. Paul Vickers officiating. She was surrounded by her loving family as she left her earthly home for her eternal home in Heaven on Friday, March 8. She was greeted by her Savior and her loving husband of 54 years, James "Bulldog" Neel, her parents and many other friends and loved ones.

June was born July 19, 1936 in Seven Pines, Texas to R.B. and Emma Lorene Davis Evers. She was a lifelong homemaker and mother. Her passion in life was her family and serving others. She loved the Lord and served Him all her life through teaching Sunday School, working in Vacation Bible School, serving on committees, singing in the choir, and many other roles she willingly and lovingly filled. Each of her children, grandchildren, and anyone who knew her thought they were her favorite...and they were!
