Katherine Seibert known as "Kay" to many, was born February 15, 1924 in Shreveport, LA to Thomas and Gertrude Briggs. She later married Eric Seibert. They were married for 21 years and had three children, William, Janice and David. She served her country in the US Navy as a Pharmacist Mate, 2nd class from San Diego during WWII. She retired from the Navy in 1946. Katherine received her bachelor and master's degrees in Arts from New Mexico Highlands University in the 50's and her masters in Linguistics, Business Administration and a PHD in Psychology from UCLA in the 60's and 70's. She worked as University Vice-President for Academic Affairs at California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California where she was the first woman in administration. When she retired, she worked on the setup of the business management system for the Nile River Project in Egypt. When she finished in Egypt, she worked on the Grand Jury for Orange County, California and the California Avocado Commission. Katherine enjoyed instructing students at her son's high school on how to study for their SAT's and also teaching them typing on Saturday's. Most importantly, she confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior in the 70's even though she was raised in the Baptist Church in Shreveport. Katherine is looking forward to seeing her family in heaven.

Katherine's hobbies included skiing, gardening, walking her dogs, eating out in restaurants, and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. She loved spending time talking with people, enjoying activities, and going out with her son, Bill. She also really loved vanilla ice cream.

Surviving Katherine are her children, William Karl Seibert of Marshall, Janice Lee Seibert of California, and David Eric Seibert of Atascadero, CA; grandchildren, David, Madeline, and Paige Strockis, and Michael Seibert; brother, Joseph Seibert of LaCosta, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.
