Kay Jeanette Smith Norris was born in Houston, Texas on April 12, 1937 the daughter of Claude McDonald and Elma Jones McDonald. She passed away at her residence in Tatum on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She attended Allen County Community College. Kay was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her children, Ralph Norris and wife, Cathy of Humboldt, Kansas, Kenneth Norris and Jill Rasberry of Lubbock, Texas, Mitchell Norris of Iola, Kansas, Tina Norris Johns and husband, Tom of Belton, Missouri, Tori Norris Terry and husband, Bobby of Tatum, Texas, Tausa Norris Bunnel and husband, Ed of Highland Park, Kansas, and Teris Norris Woods of Hallsville, Texas; her sister, Jacquelyn Smith; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Preceding Mrs. Norris in death were her parents Claude and Erma McDonald; granddaughter, Latausha Cavins; great granddaughter, Jade Cavins; and sister, Joanne Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Texas Oncology in Longview, TX. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2014 at 3:30 p.m., in the Tatum Cemetery, under the direction of Downs Funeral Home of Marshall, Texas.
