Funeral services for Kenneth Alvin Alexander, Sr., 45, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2015, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Pastor Geno Munds officiating. Interment will follow in the Scratch Eye Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Alexander passed away March 12, 2015, in Longview. Kenneth Alvin Alexander, Sr., was born July 9, 1969, in Marshall, TX, to Francis Alvin Alexander, Jr. and Jean Cromer Alexander. Kenneth attended Marshall Public Schools. He married Piper Hitchcock Alexander on July 4, 1991, in Marshall. Kenneth was a mechanic for Gateway Tire, and enjoyed working with his hands. Kenneth is survived by his wife "Pepper" Alexander of Marshall; mother, Jean Alexander of Marshall; children, Kenneth Alvin Alexander, Jr., and wife Toni, Patricia Ann Lay, all of Marshall, Amanda Howe of Marshall, Natasha Rowe of Elm Grove, LA, Sandra Lilley Strickland of Marshall; siblings, Sue Lacky of Longview, Betty Slack of Marshall, Delilah Alexander of Mt. Pleasant, George Wade Williams of Jefferson, James Lee Alexander of Marshall, Melvin Wayne Williams of Longview; granddaughter, Kirra Rayne Alexander; uncle, J.D. Alexander; and other relatives and friends. Preceding Kenneth in death were his father and sister, Nancy Slack. Pallbearers were be Kenneth Alexander, Jr., Jeffery Briggs, Luther Ray, Robert Briggs, Ashton Emmons and David Kirkland. Honorary pallbearers are George Wade Williams, James Lee Alexander and Patrick Rook.
