Kenneth D. Mays, 57, of Waskom, Texas, passed away on February 21st, 2026. He was born in Dallas, Texas, and was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He had a love for hunting, fishing, and playing pool, and was known and cherished by his many friends and customers. Above all, he loved his kids deeply.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sondra Sue Kelly; his father, Thomas Roy Mays; and his grandparents, Clifford D. Kelly and Mary Elizabeth Calvert.

He is survived by his children: son, Jayson Mays and wife, Michelle of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter, Amanda McClintock of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter, Brittany Simms and husband Nick of Iowa Park, Texas; and son, Josh Mays of Stephenville, Texas. He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Kayden, Parker, Addison, Blake, Jackson, Aubrey, Elijah, Landon, and Kennadee. He is also survived by his aunt, Deborah Kelly Cone and husband Jim, and their children, Amy and husband, Glenn Futch and their sons, Nathan and Matt, and Tyler Cone; his aunt, Mary Beth K. and husband, Fred Forsyth, their son, Keith Forsyth and wife, Lindsey, and daughters, Kinsley and Kaitlyn.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
