Graveside services for Larry D. Sivils, 77, of Marshall, TX, will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, at The Little Chapel By The Lake at Colonial Gardens Cemetery, Marshall, TX, with Rev. Kelly Berne officiating. Interment will follow. Mr. Sivils passed away December 7, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Larry Duane Sivils was born in Geuda Springs, Kansas on April 18, graduated from Arkansas City Junior College, and became a ceramic engineer in the ceramic tile industry. He was employed by Monarch Tile Company until they closed. He then worked for DAL Tile Company in Mt. Vernon until he retired. He and his wife Sylvia were married on July 14, 1957 in Arkansas City, KS, and she preceded his in death on July 6, 2008. Larry enjoyed remote control airplanes. He was a ham radio operator, an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed sitting around the campfire with his family. He enjoyed having his morning coffee with his friends. Surviving Larry Sivils are his daughter, Michelle Moore and husband, David of Marshall; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Linville of Pataskala, Ohio, Steven Moore of Beckville, David C. Moore of Marshall; 7 great grandchildren, Nicholas Moore, Blake Moore, Kendley Moore, Cannon Moore, Kailey Linville, John E. Pennybacker, Noah Pennybacker; and other extended family and friends. Preceding Mr. Sivils in death were his parents, Melvin and Helen Sivils; his wife, Sylvia; son, Charles Melvin Sivils; and a great grandchild, Isabella Marie Pennybacker.
