A graveside service for LaSonia Cooper will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home.

LaSonia Kay Cooper, often referred to as LA was the first child born to the late Lewis Calvin and Venola Johnson was born on 11/15/1972.

She was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended College at Kilgore

At an early age she united with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church. There she followed her passion and went on the be the Youth Director. She went on to lead and inspire many youth as well as adults.

LaSonia later united with Cypress Valley Bible Church where she continued her passion working with kids and inspiring others

LaSonia departed this life on Saturday 12/19/2020 and survived by her loving husband Dennie Cooper, Daughters Keyonia and Kailynn Smith both of Marshall. One new Grandson, Kollyn Rashad Williams And not to forget Kailynn's cat (Kotton), who still holds claim to be the first granddaughter. Two sisters, Anson and Alana Williams, their   daughter Keyasia Williams and Sharronda White of Marshall.
