Lawanna Mildred Keel Pearson was born August 12, 1930 in Lyons, Georgia and passed away December 11, 2014 in Longview, Texas. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church in Marshall. Lawanna worked as a Personal Caregiver for Home Health. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Landreneaux and husband, Joseph of Marshall, Texas; sons, Herbert Keel and wife, Barbara of Longview, Douglas Keel of Marshall, and Alan Keel of Castro Valley, California. Also surviving are her sister, Jewel Nobles of Haynesville, Georgia, nine grandchildren, David Landreneaux, Jeannie Battershell, Joey Landreneaux, Amy Landreneaux, Jason Keel, Lisa Cassol, Hudson Keel, Douglas Keel and Nicholas Keel, and a host of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Harvey "Bill" Keel, and her second husband, Haskell Pearson, and daughter, Paula Keel. There will be a viewing from 12-5 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. A Private Family Interment will be held.
