Leonard "Leroy" Thompson, Jr. Leonard "Leroy" Thompson, Jr., 56, of Jefferson passed away on December 10, 2010, in Longview, Texas. There will be a Visitation Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 6-8 p.m, at the Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. On Tuesday, December 14th there will be a Visitation from 6-8 p.m., at the Moore - Rose Funeral Home in Lockney, Texas. The Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the West College & 3rd Street Church of Christ in Lockney, Texas with burial to follow in the Lockney Cemetery. Leroy was born in Tulia, Texas to Leonard Leon Thompson and Cliff Ozeal Thompson on January 17, 1954. He married Carla Tyson Thompson on October 25, 1980 in Levelland, Texas. He was employed by Fluid Disposal Specialities in Marshall, He is survived by his wife Carla Thompson of Jefferson, his daughter Amanda Thompson of Marshall, his sons Eric Thompson of Marshall and Chad Keller of Durant, Oklahoma. Also surviving Mr. Thompson are his brother Bennie Thompson of Tulia, Texas, and four grandchildren, Jordun Varner, Kacen Thompson, Lilah Thibodeaux, and Tysin Thompson, all of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ike Thompson.
