A Funeral Service for Linda Lumpkin, 67, of Marshall, will be held at 2pm Friday, April 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Ms. Lumpkin passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Marshall.

Linda Jones Lumpkin was born July 22, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Bobby and Etta Addine Jones. She was a graduate of the Marshall High School Class of 1967 and a graduate of ETBU class of 1971. Linda was a mother of two and grandmother of one. She loved her daughters and grandchild dearly. Linda had the opportunity to live in many places, meeting new people, making friends and memories. Places she lived include, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Illinois, Oklahoma, and of course, her home state of Texas. She was a school teacher and church secretary. In her free time, Linda enjoyed reading, participating in church activities, and playing with her granddaughter, Triniti.
