A funeral service for Linda Jo "Memaw" Woodley will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. David Rice officiating. Interment will be held at Woodley Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Woodley will be held from 6:00-8:00p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Downs Funeral Home.

Linda Jo "Memaw" Woodley 75, of Marshall, Texas was born February 28, 1943 to Fred Baker Carter, and Osie Lucille Smith Carter in Carthage, Texas. Linda united in marriage with Larry Woodley in Marshall, Texas on     December 27, 1960. During their marriage they had three beautiful children. Mrs. Woodley passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2018            surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Woodley was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church for 50+ years. During her free time she loved sewing, quilting, gardening, and putting together flower beds. One of her very favorite things was to shop and   collect her depression glass with her girls. Linda loved spending time with family, having get-togethers, cooking for her family. Her motto was "Rather have too much than not enough". She also loved and cherished her dog, Honey.

Mrs. Woodley is survived by her loving husband of 57 plus years, Larry Woodley; three children, Terri Brown and husband, Skeeter, Mindy Anderson and husband, Jeff, Keith Woodley and wife, Debby; five siblings, Don Carter and spouse, Betty Nash, David Carter and spouse, Cathy, Jerry Carter and spouse, Jan, Cathy Carter and spouse, William, Vicky Elliott and spouse, Mike; seven         grandchildren, Brianna Fry and spouse, Landon, Dusty Woodley and spouse, Krystal, Danielle Struwe and spouse, Sean, Brian Brown and spouse, Jamie, Trey Hicks and spouse, Stephanie, Cody Anderson, Brandon Brown; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Betty Clark and Mollie Woodley. Mrs. Woodley is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.

Mrs. Woodley is preceded in death by her parents.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Mrs. Woodley's grandsons, Dusty Woodley, Brian Brown, Trey Hicks, Cody Anderson, Brandon Brown, and Sean Struwe. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Woodley's granddaughters, Brianna Fry and Danielle Struwe.
