A funeral service for Linda Kay Pierce, 66, of Woodlawn will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Pope City Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Downs Funeral Home. Linda passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Tyler, Texas.

Linda Pierce was born April 27, 1949 in Jefferson, Texas to Troy and Wilma Charlene Davis. On December 05, 1972, Linda married Henry Pierce in Greenville, Texas. Over the next 43 years they loved and cared for one another and raised two sons who Linda loved dearly. Linda worked many years for the Jefferson Independent School District in the cafeteria where she served many children, always with a smile on her face. She was also a graduate from Jefferson ISD. Linda was a member of Pope City Baptist Church. A lifelong East Texan, Linda was known and loved by many.

Those left to cherish the memory of Linda Pierce are her husband, Henry Pierce; two sons, Rusty Pierce of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bobby Pierce of Woodlawn, Texas as well as other extended family members and friends.
