Lizzie Mae "Mollie" Smith Green was born February 1, 1941 in Marshall to the late Tom Smith and Teola Richardson. At an early age, she united with the St. John Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and remained an active member until her health failed. She attended Marshall Public Schools. She also worked as a caregiver for numerous years with Girling Home Health. In 1958, Lizzy was united in Holy Matrimony with Mr. Clinton Allen, Jr. To this union one child was born (Clayton Lee Allen). Her husband, step-sister Gwendolyn Smith and her parents preceded her in death. Lizzie later met and married Winfred "Buddy" Green, Sr., who also preceded her in death. To this union, no children were born. Mrs. Lizzie Mae Green departed this life on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, TX. Lizzie leaves to mourn her homegoing: one son, Clayton Lee Allen of Marshall, TX; a brother, James Williams of DeSoto, TX: a sister, Gloria (Luster) Williams of Mesquite, TX; a step-brother, Kenneth Smith of Pontiac, Michigan; a step-sister, Alma Smith of Pontiac, Michigan; 2 step-daughters. Robinette Hurd of Dallas, TX and Nannette Green of Marshall, TX; 2 step-sons, Winfred "Bo" Green of Marshall, TX and Terence Maurice Green of Garland, TX; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; and a special friend, Gracie Henderson.
