Funeral services for Lois Willie, 73, of DeBerry, TX, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in DeBerry. A viewing will be held for Mrs. Willie from 1:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home. Lois Jean Mitchell-Willie was born January 21, 1942 in Panola, TX, to John L. and Eva Johnson-Mitchell. She was employed with Tasty Bird in Carthage, TX, a housekeeper and homemaker. Ms. Lois passed away February 25, 2015 in Longview. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Eva Mitchell and two sisters, Carolyn Mitchell-Tankxley and Margare Mitchell-Burks. Ms. Lois leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Eugene Willie, Sr.; seven children, five boys and two girls, Eugene, Jr. (Sara) Willie of Elysian Fields, TX, Dorothy (James) Jones of Marshall, TX, Timmy Willie (special friend, Sandra Hooker) of Carthage, TX, Danny (Chell) Willie of Arlington, TX, David Willie (special friend, Mary Bell) of Garland, TX, Christopher (Felicia) Willie of DeBerry, TX, and Denise Willie of DeBerry, TX; three sisters, Dorothy Mitchell-Willie of Ft. Worth, TX, Letha Mitchell-Thomas of Shreveport, LA, and Patricia Mitchell of DeBerry, TX; five brothers, John L. Mitchell, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX, Felton Mitchell of DeBerry, TX, Willie Mitchell, Sr. of DeBerry, TX, Rayfus Mitchell of Ft. Worth, TX, Dewayne Mitchell of Ft. Worth, TX; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and a wonderful host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed.
