A memorial service for Lois Nelson Wilson will be held at 10:a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Downs Funeral Home. Visitation for Mrs. Wilson will be held from 6-8p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Downs Funeral Home.

Lois Nelson Wilson 89, of Marshall, Texas was born July 28, 1928 in Goose Creek, Texas to James Emmett Nelson and Mary Modena Bradshaw. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved clogging, sewing, crossword puzzles, and she was a voracious reader. Her very favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Dena Wilson from Marshall, Texas, Ernest Wilson and spouse, Dana from Lorena, Texas; son-in-law, Charles Coggins from San Antonio, Texas; sister, Anne Melroy from Nacogdoches, Texas; three brothers, Richard Nelson from Kilgore, Texas, Robert Nelson from Nacogdoches, Texas, and John Nelson and spouse, Bobbye from Kilgore, Texas; grandchildren, Charlie Coggins, Kelly Coggins, Cory Wilson, and Tyler Wilson; great-grandchild, Max Coggins; she is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
