A memorial service for Mrs. Londa "Mom" Pope will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Downs Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at Downs. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Friends of Marshall Animals.

Londa "Mom" Pope was born in Marshall, Texas on August 1, 1942, to parents William Ray Moore Sr. and Mary Ruth Moore. Londa passed away on June 29, 2024, in Jefferson, Texas.

Londa was a lover of many things. She was known to have a green thumb and enjoyed keeping garden and flowers. She could also work wonders in the kitchen and made the best pecan pie. Londa could also play several musical instruments which included the flute, piano, and organ. She was especially fond of Elvis, 50's music, and playing old gospel songs at the church and nursing home. She loved her family and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Londa is survived by her husband, Don E. Pope; two children, Teresa Pope, Kay Stout and husband Tommy; two sisters, Rae Lynne Harper and husband Bill, Tammy McDonald and husband Calvin; sister-in-law, Frances Moore; grandchildren, Wesley Dye and wife Sarah, Nikki Johnson and husband James, Riley Stout; great grandchildren, Jackson Dye, Knox Dye, Maxwell Dye, Brock Johnson; numerous other family and friends.

Londa is preceded in death by her parents, William Ray Moore Sr. and Mary Ruth Wright; sister, Renee Leggett and husband Johnny; brother, Ray Moore Jr.
