Lonnie Wayne Roberts, Sr. was born June 20, 1935 in Madill, Oklahoma to Lonnie Keys Roberts and Rosetta Putman Roberts. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  Lonnie married Vivian Sutterfield on November 1, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma.  He worked in the Trucking Industry as a truck driver for Allied Systems for 23 years. retiring from Auto Convoy Company in 1995.  Lonnie was a member of the Teamster Union at Ford Allied System.  He loved fishing, playing poker, the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners and most of all, he loved his family, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vivian Roberts; children, Karen Lea Hammond, Lonnie Wayne Roberts, Jr., Richard Dean Roberts, Glenn Ray Roberts, James Louis Roberts, and Christina Diane Pierce. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive Mr. Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. David Derr officiating.  Mr. Roberts passed away January 4, 2018 in Longview, Texas.
