Funeral services for Lora Hatfield, 56, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bob Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Yates Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Scottsville, TX. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Hatfield passed away December 23, 2014 at her home. Lora Jane Herman Hatfield was born August 28, 1958, in St. Croix, Wisconsin, to Clarence R. and Dorothy Carol Shelby Herman. She married Jerome Hatfield on November 30, 1991. Lora was employed by First National Bank of Marshall for 16 years as a teller supervisor. She was a member of Cypress Valley Bible Church. Surviving Lora is her husband, Jerome T. Hatfield; children, Karah Lee Meisenheimer, Ralph Murray Meisenheimer and wife Cassie, and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Hatfield; grandchildren, Mack Meisenheimer, Lauren Brooke Davis; sister, Cora Rae Schantz and husband Ervin; brother-in-law, William D. Hatfield; and other extended family and friends. Preceding Lora in death were her father, Clarence R. Herman; mother, Dorothy Shelby Herman Fields; step-father, Roebuck Anderson Fields; brother, Dale Kern Herman; Lora's identical twin sister at birth, Lori Jean Herman; and sister, Candace Kay Herman at 2 years old. Pallbearers will be Roger Garcia, Rusty Marsh, Randy Nelson, Ralph Meisenheimer, Wes Smith and Mike Stuart. Honorary pallbearers will be her friends in the community.
