Lorene Neel was many things…a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother; faithful Christian full of service,  glamour gal, truck driver, and matriarch of our large family. As one person said…she was a formidable woman!

She was the last of her generation in the Neel family. At 85 years of age she had seen and experienced so much life. She was passionate, outgoing, and dedicated to her family and community. Lorene will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by Debbie (Matt) Little Dog of Eagle River, Alaska, Jim (Jacque) Plumlee of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Sherry (Larry) Creech of Wasilla, Alaska, Harry (Eve) Neel Jr. of Avinger, Texas, Thomas Neel of Avinger, Texas, Gary (Tammie) Neel of Jefferson, Texas, Terry (Liz) Neel of Avinger, Texas, and Robert Neel of Avinger, Texas.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 4 nieces and 7 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Neel Sr.

Her service was held at Lake O' the Pines Baptist church on October 30, 2021.

In the words of Matthew 25:21…His Lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant…."
