The spirit of happiness flowed in the life of R.C. and Bertha Haggerty Davis on July 11, 1940 when to this young couple was born a girl whom they named Loviana A. Davis. She united with Antioch Baptist Church at an early age.

L.A. began her early childhood education at Antioch Elementary School and finished at G.W. Carver. Later she would move to Fort Worth for a time before returning to Marshall where she worked for Blue Buckle. She had one child, a son, Dwight Davis. Later on she married Willie Rowl.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, three brothers, and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Dwight Davis; one grandson, Chris (Krissie) Davidson; two granddaughters, Nakisha (Sedric Love) and Monique (Alphonzo) Spurlock; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Robertson and Annie Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
