Lucian Dulaney was born December 26, 1932 in Tyler County, TX to James David and Ida Jeanette Wise Dulaney. He attended Woodville Public Schools. Lucian's father passed away when Lucian was 8 years old. At an early age he quit school to take care of his mother and siblings. This set the stage for the rest of his life as a caregiver and doting father. At 17, Lucian joined the Army and faithfully served his country. Upon exiting the military, he met the love of his life and on September 25, 1954, in Tyler County, he married Bonnie Arbelle Read. They were married for 58 years. They moved to Marshall where he went to work for Thiokol for a couple of years, before starting his career with the postal service, where he again served his country faithfully for 30 + years. He started a hobby of lawnmower repair in 1988, seeing it grow into Dulaney's Small Engine Repair (the son he never had). Lucian was a Southern Baptist and attended Port Caddo Baptist Church. He was also a Mason, a member of the Woodlawn Community Thursday "42" group, and the Senior Whataburger Coffee Club. Lucian loved to fish, especially catfishing, loved his computer and playing solitaire. Mr. Dulaney is survived by his wife, Bonnie Read Dulaney; daughters, Patty Joos, Denise Dulaney; special adopted daughter, Leisa Gary; sisters, Laura Cornelius, Lucille Dixon (his twin sister) and husband Charles; brother, Woodroe "Cheb" Dulaney and wife Ruth; sisters-in-law, Lurlene Dulaney, Nita Dulaney; brothers-in-law, Lester Moore and wife Elaine, David Read and wife Deanna; grandchildren, Shannon Keenon and fiancé Kyle Pierson, Tiffany Patrick, Amy Hatcher and husband Travis, Rocky Alliston, Keri Keenon, and Susy Alliston; great granddaughter, Lydia Patrick; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
