A funeral service for Luis Marin-Martinez, 73, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A time for visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.

Luis was born on June 21, 1951, in Toluca, Mexico to Cirilo Marin-Marcelino and Ana Garcia-Martinez and passed away on June 2, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

He worked for Tyson Foods in Carthage, Texas for over 25 years. He was a member St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Paulina Marin and parents, Cirilo Marin-Marcelina and Ana Garcia-Martinez.

He is survived by his children, Bertha Marin, Raunel Marin, Rocio Marin, Brenda Marin, Maria Marin and Luis Marin, Jr.; grandchildren, Danny Dominguez, Eber Jaimes, Alan Taylor, Kaitlyn Taylor "Nina", Lindsey Jaimes, Jesus Jaimes, Selena Jaimes, Juliza Perez, Jason Marin and Juliet Perez and great granchildren, Saia Jaimes, Amadeo Dominguez, Adiel Dominguez and Alan Alexander Ramirez, Jr. along with other family and friends.
