Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Lula Mae White will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Galilee Baptist Church with Rev. DuWayne Taylor officiating. The visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. White passed away December 1, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Lula Mae White was born on March 26, 1926 to Mr. Nathaniel Dan Oliver and Mary Jane Oliver in Marshall, Texas, and lived in Sunny South Community. Mrs. White was married to the love of her life, Mr. Lorenzo L. White.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Prince (Mozell) Brown, Mary (Frank) Johnson, Paul White, Ester (Walter) James, Herbert (Patrice) White, Elmer (Eric) Rawls; sisters, Mary Monk, and Hula McClendon. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to family, she leaves behind a dear family friend, Denise Henderson who'd the family would like to extend sincere gratitude.
Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Mary Jane Oliver; husband, Lorenzo L. White; daughter, Ureline Oliver; sisters, Christine Hood, and Belulah M. Collins; brothers, William J. Oliver, George Oliver, and Nathaniel Oliver.
