The Lord came to take Lynn Muckelrath, 81 of Marshall, home to be with Him on February 3, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 at St. Mark's UMC with Rev. Lee Whitley officiating.

Lynn Muckelrath was born September 15, 1934 in ElDorado, Arkansas to Roscoe Muckelrath and Minnie Ola Albritton Muckelrath. On April 27, 1956 he married Jessie McFaye Brantly in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a member of St. Mark's UMC. Lynn loved to read and do crossword puzzles with a pen. He also loved fishing, gardening, and hanging out with his grandson, Ryan. Lynn served his country in the United States Air Force.

Surviving Lynn are his wife of 59 years, "Mickey" Muckelrath; one daughter, Julie Lynn Castleberry and husband, Grant; one grandson, Ryan Alan Castleberry and one brother, George Muckelrath and wife Evelyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Minnie Ola Muckelrath, two brothers, Roscoe "Muck" Muckelrath and JW Muckelrath and five sisters, Gladys Edwards, Agatha Shannon, Camille Gresham, Jewell Gresham and Peggy Whitley, and by his son Stephen Lynn.
