Mabel was born on July 15, 1924, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Chester Stone and Beulah Barnhill and passed away on May 28, 2023, in Marshall, Texas.

She, her mother and father, her two brothers and three sisters moved to the oil fields in Kilgore, Texas when they were still pretty young. They lived in "tent city" in Kilgore. Mama always said they were lucky because they had two tents and one tent had a canvas floor. They then built a house in the Pine Tree area of Longview, where they grew up. Mama skipped a grade in school and was voted most athletic. She put her trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life as a teenager at a Revival in Longview, Texas. She did some babysitting and read meters for the gas company along with her faithful dog before she married our dad, Wendell Emerson Beaty on Easter Sunday in 1947. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Marshall and had many dear friends there. If you never got to meet my mother, you missed a treat. She was a God-fearing, children lover, grandchildren and great grand children lover, funny, smart and one of the sweetest women you could ever meet. That is unless you messed with her family, then she could be pretty tough.

She loved her family unconditionally and loved anybody who loved them. Gayle Beaty Keller (Auvil), Reggie Heaton and Russell Beaty (Jolene) her children, who she thought were pretty close to perfect.

Her brothers were Clyde Stone and B.C. Stone and her sisters were Inez Stone Tyler, her beloved Bulah Stone Christmas and June Stone White. They were always very close and we kids have great memories of going to see Grandma and Grandpa and playing with all our cousins. They had great stories to tell us kids and we cherish those memories. Mostly they told us to get out of the house and go outside and play.

Her parents, Chester and Beulah Stone; husband, Wendell Emerson Beaty; brothers, Clyde Stone and B.C. Stone; sisters, Inez Stone Tyler and Bulah Stone Christmas preceded her in death and she missed them every day. Also, preceding her in death are nephews, Steve Stone, Rod Tyler, Freddie Taft and Bubba Bostick and niece, Patricia Stone and great nephew, Brandon Walling.

Her precious granddaughter, Heather Denise Davis also preceded her in death in 1993. Mama's other grandchildren are David Keller (Kristi), Diane Keller Smith (Michael), Hanna Beaty Martinez (Isaac) and Gabrielle Beaty (Charles); great grandchildren are Truett Yates, Charlie Pfalzgraf, Isa Martinez, Mateo Martinez, Kollin Keller, Dillan Clark, Audrey Smith and Cole Smith.

Her nieces and nephews and their spouses and children loved her and she loved them. Surviving her are nieces, Nicki Stone Brumley, Karla Tyler Walling, Kathy Tyler, Gay Christmas Hobbs, Sarah Hasty and Betty Bostick and nephews, Raymond Christmas and Robert Christmas.

When Reggie married Larry Heaton, she also considered Jason Heaton (Shayla) and Julie Heaton Brock (Cori) hers as well and the grandkids, Josie Brock, Trinity Heaton, Chloe Burnett, Major Burnett and Sarah Bible and great grandchild, Solara Burrow.

Hers was a life well lived and enjoyed. She was ready to go home and be with Jesus. Mama was a true example of a Christian woman and mother. She was well loved and will be missed by all of us every day till we meet again.
