A funeral service for Mable "Nanny" Badgley, 97, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.

Mable was born on January 31, 1926, in Karnack, Texas to Joseph Eugene Moore and Mary Jane Dean Moore and passed away on October 18, 2023, in Marshall, Texas.

She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved fishing and anything outdoors. She loved watching wrestling, playing 42 and word search puzzles. Most of all she loved to visit with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Moore; husband, Henry Sorrels and husband, Everett Badgley; sons, Robert Sorrels, David Matthew Sorrels and Bob Sorrels; daughters, Barbara Ragon and Ann Simmons; sisters, Edna Foshee, Marie Weaver and Francis George and brothers, Donald Moore and Albert (Buddy) Moore.

She is survived by daughters, Mary Jones, Joyce Brown and Helen Sirmans; daughter-in-law, Donna Sorrels; sisters, Shirley Gage and Virginia Koerner; 23 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
