Funeral services for Mable a. Rivers, 87 of California, formerly of Uncertain will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday February 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m., Friday February 18, 2011 at the funeral home. Mable A. Rivers was born July 04, 1923 in Ennis, Texas to Eugene Anderson and Harriet Young Anderson. Ms. Rivers was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Jefferson and Tracy, California. She was also a cook. Surviving Ms. Rivera are five daughters, Hattie Hayward of Karnack, Addie Moreland of Portland, OR, Ruby Richardson of San Jose, CA, Vanessa Adkney of Tracy, CA, and Clarissa Carter of Longview; four sons, Leon Rivers, Jr. of Dallas, Robert Rivers of Marshall, Johnny Rivers of Uncertain and Terry Rivers of Longview; nineteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
