A funeral service for Mamye Marie Bogue Jordan, 88, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pope City Cemetery in Woodlawn, Texas.

Mamye was born on November 6, 1933, in Marshall, Texas to Jessica Bogue and Ruby Alford and passed away on August 29, 2022, at her family home.

She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for many years. She was co-owner with her husband, William of Jordan's Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. She loved to volunteer for Vacation Bible Church and at Church. She was a licensed broker of real estate and a member of the Business Women's Association. She was an avid reader and was part of a group of ladies that enjoyed quilting.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Howard Jordan; sisters, Opal Lamar Payne, Dorothy Alice Harris, Jessica Powell, Ruby Jean Bogue; brothers, Robert Airie Bogue and Wiley Marian Bogue and great grandson, Ezra William Mayfield.

She is survived by her children, Rick H. Jordan and wife, Francis and Diana L. Jordan Bynum and husband, Melton D. Bynum; sister, Margaret Bogue Latham; brother, John Pinkston; grandchildren, Heather Lee Mayfield and husband Christian, Michael Scott Couch and Richard Howard Jordan along with many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Woodlawn Baptist Church.
