Mrs. Holmes passed away Monday, December 31 at her home in Hallsville. Born November 27, 1951, she was the daughter of Daniel Boone and Ruby Griffin. Mrs. Holmes was known for her larger than life personality and her heart of gold. Her family was the most important thing to her and she devoted her life to loving and caring for them. She made a great impact on the lives of many people and her memory will live on in those hearts forever. Survivors include husband Romey Earl Holmes; children Billy Joe Griffin and James Kevin Holmes (Anna Olivia); granddaughters Maycee Elizabeth Griffin and Paisley Ann Holmes; Brothers Charles Griffin (Linda) and Richard Griffin; best friend Tammie "Carol" Nelson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
