Obituary

Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Margaret was born on April 21, 1936, as the daughter of Arthur Floyd Walker and Elna Mae Hines Walker, near the homeplace of her grandparents in Emerson, Arkansas. She graduated from Fair Park High School and the family faithfully attended church at Pinecroft Baptist Church where she would attend parties and was courted by our father, Harold Ray. There were married on June 10, 1954.

They welcomed special needs son Harold Dewayne on June 26, 1955. God granted our parents the privilege of having our brother.

On October 3, 1957, they welcomed Brenda Sue. Her daddy's sidekick and later in life was her mother's constant companion. My brother says they are like 'Felix & Oscar.'

December 5, 1963, came the second daughter, Paula Ann, also known by her sis as thee 'apron girl', always at her mom's side in the kitchen learning all her mom's 'secrets.'

On January 31, 1970, came the baby of the family, Jerry Don. He would say 'I'm daddy's buddy and mommy's sweetheart' and it held true until the end.

Mom stayed at home and was a helpmate to our father while he worked at MarTex and later at Cooper's Country Greenhouse.

Our parents attended church faithfully and I can remember being a member of WMU, teaching Sunday School classes and singing in the church choir. She was a faithful member of the 'casserole committee' helping those with meals with the other ladies, one of which was her best side kick, Betty Bills. I heard they took a trip to see Toy Story and were the 'oldest kids' there… she would giggle when they talked about it. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She and dad had 5 grandchildren, Ashley and Dustin Lane Jones, Taylor Rene and Roosevelt, Jr., Clay Marshall and Harley Danielle Hammett, Heather Elizabeth and Michael John Daly and Jerry Dewayne and Savannah Cooper.

She attended graduations, weddings and births of great grands when she could. Her great grands are Cullen Scott and Cyrus Jones, Arlo Foster Jones, Roen Taylor, Oden Daly and Jayden Cooper.

Mother was spreading seed of Jesus' love as witnessed by her family either by having a conversation with Jesus and Noah, telling a tech that she loved Jesus and asking if she knew her Jesus, and I am sure many conversations with her children and grandchildren.

We leaned into God's timing in all we did in those last few days of her life watching time and time again things falling into place and it couldn't have been nothing more than 'God's perfect timing' and up until her passing. She had all her children home, saw her grandchildren and was at peace.

She was welcomed into her Heavenly Father's arms in the wee hours of Christmas Eve. We rejoice knowing she is with her Jesus and with our loved ones.

1) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I will go to prepare a place for you. 3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4) and whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

We rejoice knowing she is with her Jesus and with our loved ones.

The family would like to wish a special thank you to Heartsway Hospice.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to j2911 Ministries. www.j2911.life.
