A funeral service for Margarita Trejo, 65, of Zimapan Hidalgo, Mexico will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marshall. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.

She was born on October 25, 1959, in Zimapan Hidalgo, Mexico to Mateo Trejo and Josephina Trejo and passed away on August 14, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

She is survived by her children, Severiano Arteaga (Melisa Arteaga), Sofia Arteaga (Florencio Chavez), Filiberta Arteaga (Bellaner Gonzalez); brothers, Armando Trejo and Guadalupe Trejo; sister, Isabel Trejo; grandchildren, Alex, Steileen, Anthony, Angel, Jr., Brittany, Jayson, Gael, Kaylee and Camila and great grandchild, Alina Arteaga along with other family and friends.
