Services for Margie Marie Hill, 89 of Waskom will be 2p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church in Waskom under the direction of  Downs Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Restland Cemetery of Waskom.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8p.m., Tuesday, December 8th.

Marie was born November 25, 1926, to Ruby and Clifton Walker in Laurel, Mississippi. She was an avid gardener and lover of flowers. She also loved canning and making her famous jelly. In addition, she loved watching the Dallas Mavericks and traveling to the beach in Cancun, Mexico with her grandchildren. Marie could often be found at her second home, the First Presbyterian Church of Waskom.

Marie is survived by her children, Dale, Dianne, Johnny, Vickie, son-in-law, Jimmy; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tom Ben and Walter Walker; her husband, Dewey Hill, and grandson, Jason.
