A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Margie Boaze Johnson, 75, of Marshall will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Don Gatlin officiating. Ms. Johnson passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 in Marshall.

Margie Boaze Johnson was born September 21, 1941 to Paul and Elsie Boaze in Marshall, Texas. Marshall was always home to Margie; this is where she raised her family and fostered many friendships throughout her life. Margie was a loving mother of seven, grandmother of two, great-grandmother of six and great-great-grandmother of two.

Surviving Margie are her children, Gina Dolly, Cindy Meroney, Scott Breazeale (Sherie), Linda Pruitt, Mary Holy, Sandy Holt, and Peter Johnson; brothers, Earnest Paul Boaze (Joy), Larry Boaze, and Charles Boaze; grandchildren, Chassity Easterling, and Randy Dale Ogden; six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
